Creating (travel) items harbors a great deal of fun, but it costs time too. Eventhough it's better than leaving photo's in dusty boxes, creating the (travel) items is not high on my priority list, so it will take time. The responses are very positive, thank you readers!

Oktoberfest
Oktoberfest with Purple! The Germans sure know how to build an enormous party!

Poland to Estonia by bike via Russia, Lithouania and more: 1000km
Adventure awaited us and we made it: Poland to Estonia.

Aberdeen in Scotland
JC Re-act planned a nice weekend in Aberdeen. Biking near a Loch, in the sunshine and through the rain. Whisky, going out, visiting pubs and more. Quite the 'long weekend'!

Delft to Toulouse "en la velo": 1450km
Read the story in the "travel" section. See "travel" in the left navigation.
We made it!

Cycling 500km thru Denmark to Copenhagen
A wonderful vacation. Cycling at least 500km from Flensburg (Germany) to Copenhagen (Denmark). The experience was vivid. If you need a great idea for a great vacation: here it is.

Plok Baggerloop 2010 in Didam
Out of our minds, or just plain fun? Jogging through dirt, ditches and farmfields. That's how they do it in Didam, the Netherlands. Ruben indulged us to join this years run, Teun and me eagerly accepted.
Click at the picture on the right, or find the item under "Travel & Trips".

Introductionflight with ATAS
An unexpected present: an introductionflight from Teuge Airport. The participant is allowed to get behind the wheel of a Cessna 172 Skyhawk for 15 minutes. The most widely used aircraft for teaching. Before you take place, you get to know a lot about the aircraft itself. There is enough time for all your questions. After this "briefing" you may take place inside the aircraft, along with a maximum of 2 passengers. After take-off you are allowed to take the wheel at 1200 feet (400m). Here you follow a route via Deventer, before you return back to Teuge Airport. You hand control back to the pilot, so he can land the plane safely. A great experience and a must-do!

BrainIgniter.com
Only recently it came to my attention that people play a lot of games on-line. A great while back I wanted to create an on-line game inspired by Brain Age: the calculation game. If I created this game I would kill two birds with one stone: extending my knowledge about PHP, javascript, CSS, AJAX and HTML cross-browser audio integration, while having some fun along the way. The result is a quite finished version, which you can play at http://www.brainigniter.com/. Have fun playing and don't forget to turn the sound on!

Sky diving
If "Indoor" Skydiving can be put on the eXtreme sports list, that I don't know. But it doesn't make it any less fun! Lancet, Cultural subsociety of Virgiel, organised a trip to Indoor Skydive Roosendaal, the Netherlands, which one couldn't miss ofcourse! Quite an experience and tastes like more. On the right a picture, while floating on an airstream somewhere below 250 km/h. Click picture for more pictures, a video and the story (in Dutch!).

Mexico is the place to be! Maya temples, complexes, flamingo's, ATM cave, skull close-ups, skeletons, Maya pottery, toucan, tarantula, Kayaking, nurse sharks, turtles, sting rays, mojito's, cenotes, dolphins and I probably forgot to mention a thing or two. We squeezed a lot in more than 2 weeks.
With the crete vacation still fresh under my belt (with bungeeeeee), I dived in an even greater adventure. On the right some pictures of Mexico and my bungee jumping experience. You can read the story (and see the pics) under "travel", or click one of the images on the right. Below that you can find the link to the RP6 practical assignment, also interesting, but probably less exciting. :)

Site info and welcoming

Welcome to this personal portal. The site has two menu's: one top menu and one menu on the left. Both contain different links. The Data Center and Photo Gallery can be accessed with a user account only. The rest of the lot is freely accessible. The site is primarily written in English, with Dutch sections where applicable. The availability of a English or Dutch translation is denoted by a clickable Dutch flag.
If you have any questions, feel free to drop a line.

Have fun browsing.

FireFox is all you need
Get FireFox (FF) here: http://www.getfirefox.com/.

During some tests in Internet Explorer, I found out that IE7 does not handle https connections very well. This results in slow file downloads, which makes Photo Gallery Classic very slow. The problem is resolved with Photo Gallery 2.
It is nevertheless a very good idea to download and install FireFox. IE gets the job done in most cases, but IMHO, FF is better/best; Get FireFox (FF) here: http://www.getfirefox.com/.
